Collecting Items To Send To Our Troops

The members of the Mt. Ephraim Fire Department with support from the Troop Support 08059 are still accepting items for our troops.  During this past year's Christmas Parade & Holiday Season the MEFD collected over 200 items and over $300.00 in cash for our troops serving overseas and to purchase new items for them.  The members of the MEFD created a “Supporting Our Troops” Holiday Float that participated in neighboring parades as well as ours.

Items of interest:

-Q-tips
-Pipe cleaners
-Anti-fog cleaner for glasses and wipes for glasses
-Insect repellent with DEET (NOT bug sprays)
-Gold Bond Medicated Powder
-Eye drops ( for dry eye)
-Antifungal/Athletes Foot Powder (& creams, lotions, ointments or sprays) -Bath/Body Wipes (no water needed)
-Baby wipes
-Lip Balm with SPF
-Lollipops, Hard Candy
-Drink Mixes for bottled water & canteens (i.e.-crystal light, 4-C, etc) -Chicken, Turkey, or Tuna in Pouch or Easy Open Cans
-Salty Snacks
-Slim Jims
-Beef Jerky
-Pringles
-Cheez-Its
-Peanut Butter Crackers
-Chips or Snacks in cans or Individual portions
-Fruit Snacks
-Pumpkin, or Sunflower Seeds- Salted
-Granola or Breakfast Bars (like Kellogg’s, Nature Valley)

Any non-perishable item the soldiers could have while in the field or when they can not make it to chow hall will also be accepted.
